Troubleshooting a SolarEdge system with a wireless gateway connection

Your SolarEdge inverter uses a wireless gateway to connect your solar energy system to the internet. You should be able to see it near your inverter. It’s usually a square, grey box with fasteners that has Philips head ridges at each corner.

You don’t actually need to open the box as all the troubleshooting is done seamlessly through the Vivint Solar App for Apple or Android. Now, let’s make one last attempt to get your solar energy system back online.

See if you can update your internet credentials online

1. Download the Vivint Solar app and log in. 2. Go to “Settings.” 3. Look for “Wifi Connectivity.” 4. Select “Wifi Connectivity.”

Note that if your phone is already connected to your wifi, the app will attempt to connect to it automatically.

5. Otherwise, select “Choose Different Network.” 6. Enter your wifi ID and password. 7. Select “Connect.”
Roughly 24-48 hours after you’ve run through the troubleshooting steps, we recommend that you check your system production by logging into [account.vivintsolar.com](https://account.vivintsolar.com/login).

If you don’t have the ability to update your credentials online, or still don’t see your production results after 48-hours, Contact Us and let us know which steps you took to try and troubleshoot the issue. We’ll send someone out who can help.
